About Breakfast for Learning in Alberta

In the current (2007-2008) school year, we have funded 285 school nutrition programs in 263 Alberta schools, serving 13, 580 students nutritious meals.

The total amount given for nutrition grants in Alberta schools from April 1, 2007 to March 2008 was $215,670.00. An additional $ 88,665.00 was given to these schools for our “Fuel Up with Vegetables and Fruit” campaign.  These funds, donated by our two supporting partners, were awarded to exclusively purchase vegetables and fruit.

The Breakfast For Learning Alberta Advisory Council (BFLAAC) is the Alberta arm of the national organization- BREAKFAST FOR LEARNING-Canadian Living Foundation- and was established as a volunteer board in May 2003.
